Sins of the First Age
The Summer House
One of the five first age manse-tombs served by the portals that were originally found at the Tomb of Five Corners, the paradoxically named Summer House is located in the extreme north of creation, amidst an eternal winter of snow and ice. It was originally the final resting place of the circle’s Eclipse caste Solar, who built the tombs. The manse is home to a number of ghosts, and equipped with a number of built in artifacts that let them interface with the living.
Like its counterparts, The Eastern Grove, The Winter House, and The Western Spires, the Summer House is located beyond the proper borders of creation, at least by the standards of the current age. A significant extent of the Wyld separates it from creation. In practical terms this means that the area can only be accessed by extensive travel through the wyld, or using the portals in The Portal Network.
Since the circle discovered the Summer House, there have been extensive renovations. The mansion at the heart of the manse has been repaired and re-purposed for use by The Cult of the Illuminate as an outpost and way station on the path to The Emerald City. To support this new function, the gate itself has been fortified extensively, so as to act as a secure check point preventing anyone from entering the city uninvited.
