Sins of the First Age
The Winter House
One of the five first age manse-tombs served by the portals that were originally found at the Tomb of Five Corners, the Winter House (named in reference to it’s northerly counterpart, The Summer House) is located in the extreme south of creation, amidst an extent a vast and blazing desert landscape. It was originally the final resting place of Tya Mnemia’s first age incarnation, a powerful warlord. The manse takes the form of a training hall and fortress, carved into the side of a towering stone outcrop.
Like its counterparts, The Eastern Grove, The Summer House, and The Western Spires, the Winter House is located beyond the proper borders of creation, at least by the standards of the current age. A significant extent of the Wyld separates it from creation. In practical terms this means that the area can only be accessed by extensive travel through the wyld, or using the portals in The Portal Network.
Since the circle discovered the Summer House, and eliminated the creatures that were dwelling there, the site has gone mostly unused. It is located on the private portion of the portal network, held in reserve as a bolt hole should the need ever arise.
